In a message expressing sympathy to all the victims of earthquake in western provinces of the country, particularly in Kermanshah, the president stated that "the administration will stand by all victims with all its facilities and resources."
Dr Hassan Rouhani's message is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
The earthquake in large parts of the country's western provinces, especially in Kermanshah province which is the land of heroes, which led to the death and injury of a large number of our fellow Iranians, caused great grief and sadness for all people.
From the beginning of this painful disaster and in constant contact with the Governor General of Kermanshah and the Interior Minister, orders were given to help the rescue process of the injured, and the First Vice-President was also tasked with mobilising all facilities and resources of the country in public and military institutions and NGOs in this direction. At the same time, it is imperative that all responsible and relief agencies in these provinces and neighbouring provinces work together in full collaboration to use all facilities available to provide relief, housing and care for those injured.
I wholeheartedly sympathise with all the injured and the victims of this disaster, and ask the Almighty mercy for those who lost their lives, swift recovery for the injured and patience and health for those fellow Iranians who lost their beloved ones.
The administration will stand by all victims with all its facilities and resources, mobilising capabilities of all organs at national and local level.
